Find Resources

Use SOAR, the library's online catalog, to:

  • Search the IVCC library for books, journals, articles, videos, e-books, and audio books.
  • Search the libraries of over 90 other academic libraries, including UIUC, ISU, NIU, etc.
  • Place requests for materials at other I-Share libraries.
  • Search for authors by subject results in books about the author and his or her works (secondary sources).  Searching for authors by author results in books by the author (primary sources).
  • Choose from: Quick Search, Advanced Search, and Course Reserves Search.
  • Limit searches by combining your author’s name as subject AND other subject terms.
  • Search by author by using this formula: Author last name, Author first name (Frost, Robert)
