PowerNotes

Jacobs Library will no longer be subscribing to PowerNotes after December 31, 2020. Please see below for detailed instructions on how to export existing notes prior to the expiration date. Users are still entitled to one free project in PowerNotes with their individual accounts. 

Exporting User Notes

  1. Log into PowerNotes 
  2. Navigate to your Projects
  3. Click into Project Notes & Select the Export button (the down arrow button) & choose to Export to Word
  4. Open the downloaded Word file in your Downloads file and save to your computer!

PowerNotes

This is a great tool to save and organize important passages from articles and other online sources that support your thesis or argument.

1. Open your browser of choice, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

 

2. To use Firefox, go to the Firefox Add-Ons page for PowerNotes and click the blue 'Add to Firefox' button and install PowerNotes.

3. To use Google Chrome, go to PowerNotes.com

4. Click "Add Chrome Extension" and install PowerNotes

5. In Chrome or Firefox, click on the PowerNotes extension icon to create your account

6. Use your IVCC e-mail address to register

7. Log in to your IVCC student email address to validate your account

8. Start using PowerNotes to highlight content, make comments, organize content, and create an outline
