Faculty Services
Faculty members have access to a variety of Library services, and we encourage faculty to incorporate our services in your courses to help your students SOAR through their college career and provide easier access to curriculum materials. Below is a list of what we offer faculty as part of the IVCC community and as an instructor. To learn more, visit the Faculty Services page.
Interested in having a librarian available in Brightspace to your students? Find out how you can implement our chat widget, library research appointments, Brightspace library discussions, and/or online instruction sessions via zoom, video recording or PDF documents.
Need a book we don't have? Check out items through interlibrary loan to access a larger collection of items.

Similar to Embedded Services, librarians can offer your courses library instruction sessions to introduce them to a variety of content. We can do this is in an embedded form, over zoom class sessions, video recordings, or in person sessions in the library or in your classroom.
Are your students new to the library? Have them take our orientation to get you acquainted with the services we have to offer.
Need a place to study or hangout? Checkout or library spaces.
Have a Jacobs Library item or Interlibrary Loan item you would like to checkout, but can't make it to the main campus in Oglesby? We offer item pickup at the Ottawa Center location!
Need to print our scan? The library offers printing and scanning.
Do your courses use resources that are available through the library? Work with us and we can create guides for each of your courses with resources tailored to your curriculum.
If you have a physical item you would like to put on reserve or an item owned by the library, we can put a copy on reserve for your students' access. If you have a digital copy, we can also put that item on e-reserve.
