Dual Credit Resources for Instructors & Librarians

Resources for High School Librarians

At Jacobs Library, we look forward to collaborating with dual credit instructors and librarians. If you are responsible for a high school library or media center, please reach out to us with questions and ideas!

Connect

Dual credit students can connect to IVCC's resources by visiting the library's website at www.ivcc.edu/library.

After clicking on a database or resource, students will be prompted to login with their IVCC email username and password.

For more information, check out the Student Technology Guide or visit the Student Help Desk's home page.

Contact

The library service desk can be reached by phone, email, or chat. Walk-in research hours are available Monday - Friday. Students can also schedule an in-person or online research appointment with a librarian.

Librarians can:

  • Answer research related questions
  • Suggest sources or collections related to a student's topic or research
  • Help students create or check a citation
  • Guide students through evaluating a source

Collaborate

We look forward to partnering with dual credit instructors and library staff. Please contact us if you are interested in collaborating on a presentation or instruction session. We would be happy to demonstrate library resources, share research strategies, and develop activities to help meet your students' needs.
