Live - Library Visit

The library's Active Learning Space was designed to encourage participation and collaboration. Movable tables and dry erase boards can be arranged into a variety of layouts to promote group work. The library's touch screen star board is used for demonstrations and librarians often encourage students to work in small groups to present their search results to the class.

The library's collaboration table is also located in the Active Learning Space. Ideal for small groups or classes, the collaboration table can display the screens of up to six devices.

Live - Classroom Visit

Classroom visits are a great way to introduce your students to the resources that are available to them at Jacobs Library. Librarians will adapt their lessons to fit the time and technology that is available in your classroom.

Live Online Zoom Session

Librarians utilize Zoom to meet with students from a distance. Schedule an online instruction session to introduce your dual credit, online, and Ottawa Center students to library services and resources that can be accessed without visiting the Oglesby campus.

Topics include: accessing the library's online databases and ebooks, delivery of physical items to the Ottawa Center information desk, an introduction to the Noodletools citation generator, and research help via chat, phone, or online appointment.
